Biochemical tests are the first step in the detection of most diseases and are of great importance for human health. This was the motivation for Seamaty to start developing biochemical analyzers.

Since October 2015, Seamaty's first product, the veterinary biochemistry analyzer SMT100V, was presented at the 74th CMEF Expo in China. This marked the official entry of Seamaty's biochemical diagnostic products into the domestic and international pet medical market.

Since then, Seamaty has focused on the development and production of biochemical diagnostic products. With the joint efforts of the R&D team and the whole company, within a few years Seamaty has developed and produced a number of products such as the SD1, SMT120, SMT120V and SMT120VP portable biochemical analysers for human and veterinary use. Seamaty has also established partnerships with more than 60 business partners worldwide.

After the biochemical Seamaty had passed the market test, and in order to increase Seamaty's market competitiveness, the company's management and R&D team agreed that adding different product lines would be the best solution. After a series of market studies, immunodiagnostic equipment and blood gas diagnostic equipment were selected for development.

Most of the immuno-analysers and blood gas analysers currently on the market are mainly large instruments. They are generally used in large hospitals and laboratories. In order for these two devices to be used at the hospital bedside, in the doctor's office laboratory, in urgent care and retail clinics, as well as at home and for self-testing, they need to be small and portable.

The Seamaty R&D team developed the SMT680 and SG1 over a period of 5 years in order to combine accurate results in diagnostic equipment with a lighter weight than the larger instruments on the market.

The SMT680 immunoassay analyser is a fully automated immunochemistry analyser using capillary coating technology, micro-antigen and antibody labelling and chemiluminescence detection in POCT, while the SG1 is a portable blood gas and electrolyte analyser using dry electrochemistry and combining blood gas and electrolyte testing.

Both the SMT680 and SG1 will be available soon, so stay tuned for more information.
